Biography

Robert Leary currently serves as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator and Director of Support Resources at the University of Texas at Austin. In this role, he manages support accommodations in compliance with Title IX. Robert has a rich background in student conduct and has worked with residence life at UT Austin, as well as having experience at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and New York University Abu Dhabi. He has received extensive training in federal and state policies related to higher education, Title IX compliance, and Clery Security Reporting. His academic journey includes earning a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Texas at Austin in 2022, focusing his research on understanding interpersonal sexual violence on college campuses. In addition, he holds a M.S.Ed. in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania (2011) and a B.A. in Classics from Ohio University (2010).
