Biography

Robert Miller is a renowned Canadian brasswind musician and Besson/Buffet Group Artist Clinician, currently recognized as one of Canada's leading euphonium soloists. He has held noteworthy positions, including Principal Euphonium soloist for the Intrada Brass, Hamilton Temple Band, and Canadian Staff Band, while also maintaining a busy private euphonium studio. Mr. Miller currently serves as the Solo Euphonium for Hannaford Street Silver Band, as well as Principal Euphonium for the Salvation Army Mississauga Temple Band and Weston Silver Band. He has been an esteemed member of the University of Toronto's Faculty of Music since 2007. His musical influences stem largely from the Salvation Army and the British brass band idiom, leading to extensive involvement in brass bands including performances with notable figures like Richard Marshall, Ronald Romm, and Steven Mead. Mr. Miller’s Canadian musical focus coupled with international recognition has seen him perform in various countries such as the United States, England, and Australia. His achievements include earning the title of 'Best Featured Soloist' at the 2010 Open Brass Band Championships and regular competition success at the North American Brass Band Association's annual Championships. His discography is notable for collaborative works with various bands and solo releases, including 'Fountain Euph'.
