Professor Dr. Robert Palumbos

Biography

Robert Palumbos is a lecturer at Penn Carey Law, specializing in appellate law as part of his practice at Duane Morris LLP. With extensive experience, Palumbos has briefed and argued over 80 appeals in federal and state courts across the United States. His work encompasses a wide range of legal areas, including RICO, corporate governance, administrative agency law, real estate, and insurance coverage. From 2015 to 2017, he served as a member and vice chair of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court's Appellate Court Procedural Rules Committee, appointed by the Supreme Court. An accomplished lecturer, he has addressed various legal issues through organizations such as the American Law Institute and the National Business Institute. His dedication to excellence in appellate litigation has been recognized, as he was named a Pennsylvania Rising Star from 2011 to 2016 and featured in the Lawyer Fast Track by the Legal Intelligencer in 2014. Palumbos graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and has also completed his M.A. and B.A. at Johns Hopkins University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
