Biography

Robert C. Pozen is a Senior Lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management and a non-resident Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution. He is widely recognized for his contributions to business education and productivity literature, having authored the popular book 'Extreme Productivity: Boost Results, Reduce Hours.' Pozen's forthcoming book addresses productivity while working remotely, titled 'Remote Inc.: Thrive Work…Wherever.' He has had a distinguished career in business, government, and academia, previously serving as the executive chairman of MFS Investment Management, where he tripled assets under management. He was also vice chairman of Fidelity Investments and contributed to the Bush administration’s commission on Social Security. Among his extensive roles, he has been an independent director for various organizations and currently serves as chairman of the Leadership Council of the Tax Policy Center. Pozen is an active writer, contributing articles to major publications such as the Wall Street Journal and Harvard Business Review. He graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College, earned a law degree from Yale Law School, and holds a doctorate concerning state enterprises in Africa. Robert resides in Boston with his wife of 40 years.
