Biography

Robert Prud'homme is a prominent figure in the field of polymers, particularly known for his contributions to solid state polymer properties and crystallization. He began his academic career at Laval University in 1975 and joined the University of Montreal in 2003, where he served as the head of the Chemistry Department. A prolific author, he has published a reference manual on the synthesis and characterization of macromolecules, along with over 260 articles and has been invited to speak at more than 200 conferences. His extensive contributions have earned him several prestigious awards, including the Marie-Victorin Prize in 2001 and he is also a member of the Royal Society of Canada.
