Biography

Robert Ricciotti, MD, is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Bone Soft Tissue Pathology Fellowship Program at the University of Washington. He completed his undergraduate education and medical doctorate at the University of Arizona, followed by residency training in Anatomic Clinical Pathology at the same institution. Dr. Ricciotti went on to complete a fellowship in Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology at the University of Washington. His clinical practice primarily focuses on diagnostic surgical pathology, especially in the subspecialties of bone and soft tissue, head and neck, lung pathology, and autopsy pathology. His research interests are concentrated on molecular pathology of bone and soft tissue tumors, with the aim of improving understanding of tumor pathogenesis and identifying potential new diagnostic and prognostic markers as well as therapeutic targets. Dr. Ricciotti is board certified in Anatomic Clinical Pathology and has held multiple academic medical appointments within the University of Washington, contributing significantly to the field of pathology.
