Biography

Robert Rohrbaugh is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University, where he has been a faculty member since 1988. He completed his graduate studies at Franklin Marshall College and the Yale School of Medicine, followed by a residency and fellowship in geriatric psychiatry. Early in his career, he focused on geropsychiatry, significantly contributing to the interface between psychiatry and primary care. He has held various leadership roles, including Clinical Director of the VA-Connecticut Mental Health Service Line and Clerkship Director for medical student education. In 2008, he became the founding director of Yale School of Medicine's Office of International Medical Student Education and served as the Deputy Chair for Education and Career Development. Recognizing the global disparities in health education, Dr. Rohrbaugh co-founded the Bellagio Global Health Education Initiative in 2015 to foster collaboration and develop global health curricula across diverse countries.
