Biography

Robert van Liere is a Full Professor emeritus at the Technical University of Eindhoven, holding the Virtual Reality Chair. His research interests encompass interactive visualization, virtual reality, and human-computer interaction. Robert obtained his PhD in computer science from the University of Amsterdam and a master's degree in computer science from Delft University. He has served on numerous program committees and has been actively involved in organizing workshops, symposiums, and conferences, and is a member of IEEE and EuroGraphics. In addition to his work at TU/e, Robert van Liere is a senior researcher at the Center for Mathematics and Computer Science (CWI) in Amsterdam, where he heads the Visualization Virtual Reality research group. Before joining CWI in 1985, he worked at TNO-IBBC, a Dutch institute focused on building construction research in Rijswijk.
