Dr. Roberta Strigel

Biography

Roberta M. Strigel, MD, MS is a Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. She serves as Fellowship Director for Breast Imaging Intervention. Dr. Strigel completed her undergraduate degree in Physics at Illinois Wesleyan University and earned her Master’s in Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. She continued her medical education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she graduated in 2004. After completing an internship at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in 2005, she went on to finish her residency at the University of Washington in 2009, followed by a fellowship in 2010 at the same institution. Dr. Strigel’s clinical focus lies in breast imaging and intervention, where she integrates her background in engineering with her medical expertise to enhance patient care and develop innovative approaches in imaging. Through her work, she has been involved in advancing techniques in breast imaging and improving educational outcomes for radiology fellows. Her commitment to the field has been recognized through various publications and contributions to professional societies in radiology.
