Biography

Robin Burgess is a Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and a co-Founder and Director of the International Growth Centre (IGC). He leads the Economics Environment Energy (EEE) Research Programme at LSE. Burgess co-directed the Coase Project on Economics of Climate, Energy, and Environment alongside Michael Greenstone. He has held prestigious positions as past President of BREAD and serves on the Board of Voxdev. He is affiliated with CEGA, J-PAL, and holds fellowships at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and CESifo. His research focuses on Environmental Economics, Development Economics, and Political Economy, with ongoing projects in Bangladesh, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Myanmar, Pakistan, South Korea, and Uganda.
