Biography

Robin Gibson is an artist specializing in multiple print media and works on paper. He holds an MFA in Printmaking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a BFA in Printmaking, and a BA in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire-Durham. Before joining the faculty at Penn State University, he held faculty positions at California State University, Long Beach, and Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland. Gibson's work has been featured in numerous solo exhibitions, including the Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts in Pennsylvania, Northville Art House in Michigan, and the Cannon Gallery and Washington Printmakers Gallery in Maryland. His recent group exhibitions include 'Biennial-Printmaking Reimagined' in Massachusetts, 'All Paper' in Montana, and 'Landscapes: Metropolis Arcadia' in New York. His work is included in prominent permanent collections such as the Fogg Art Museum at Harvard University, the National Museum of American Art at the Smithsonian Institution, the Achenbach Foundation in San Francisco, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the Brooklyn Museum in New York. Gibson has participated in recent artist residencies at Big Ink and Zea Mays Printmaking.
