Dr. Robin Wilson

Biography

Robin J. Wilson, Ph.D., ABPP, is a Canadian researcher, educator, and board-certified clinical psychologist with over 35 years of experience working in various settings including hospitals, corrections, and private practice. He currently maintains an international consulting practice in psychology based in Sarasota, Florida, while serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University. His areas of expertise encompass a wide range of topics, including deviance, social problems, disability, gender, sexuality, family, social justice, and violence. In addition to his teaching role, Dr. Wilson has a robust background in clinical assessment and intervention, with certifications from the American Board of Professional Psychology and the American Academy of Clinical Psychology. He is also a master trainer for various assessment tools in use today. Dr. Wilson is dedicated to the advancement of clinical psychology through research, education, and practice, and has contributed to the field through his scholarly work and credentials.
