Biography

Robson E. De Grande is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Brock University, Canada. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Ottawa in 2012, as well as his M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from the Federal University of São Carlos, Brazil in 2006 and 2004, respectively. He has served in various significant roles including Program Chair for DS-RT in 2014, Special Session Chair for DS-RT in 2015 and 2016, and Program Chair for ACM DIVANet in 2015 and 2016. Dr. De Grande was also the General Chair for the NSERC DIVA Workshop from 2014 to 2016 and currently holds positions such as Special Session Chair for IEEE DS-RT 2017, Program Chair for ACM MobiWac 2017, and Poster Chair for ACM MSWiM 2017. His reviewing activities extend to prestigious publications and conferences in the field, including ACM TOMACS and IEEE Communications Letters. Dr. De Grande's research interests include Large Scale Distributed Systems, Cloud Computing, Networking, Performance Modeling, Simulation, Computer Networks, Vehicular Networks and Intelligent Transportation, Distributed Collaborative Virtual Simulation Systems, and High Performance Computing.
