Biography

Robyn teaches and researches private law dispute resolution areas such as Family Law, Civil Remedies, and Mediation. She is a co-founder of the Obligations Hub at the UWA Law School and also the Private Commercial Law Research Cluster. In 2013, she co-founded the International Network for Law Apology Research (INLAR). Robyn is the lead author of 'Apology Ordinance (Cap.631): Commentary Annotations' and has served as a research advisor to the Hong Kong Department of Justice during the development of their Apology Ordinance. She has also co-authored 'Family Law Australia' for the 10th Edition published by LexisNexis. Robyn's commitment to the field is evidenced by her publications in contract law, remedies, and elder mediation, alongside her participation in academic workshops and conferences. Her professional experience includes serving as a mediator and as a Senior Sessional Member of the Western Australian State Administrative Tribunal. In 2021, Robyn was elected a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law, recognizing her contributions to the field.
