Biography

Roddy O'Connor is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Limerick in 1997, followed by a Master of Science in Muscle Metabolism from Georgia State University in 1999. Additionally, he studies post-transcriptional gene suppression through shRNA and microRNA mechanisms and bio-engineered cell culture platforms, alongside investigating tissue stem cell differentiation.
