Dr. Rodney Breau

Biography

Rodney Breau is a Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Ottawa and an Associate Scientist at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. He completed his Medical Doctorate at Dalhousie University in 2003 and has a Master’s degree in Clinical Translational Research from the Mayo Clinic. His postgraduate training includes a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology from the Mayo Clinic in 2010 and a residency in Urology at the University of Ottawa in 2008. His research interests primarily focus on Urologic Oncology, including Prostate, Kidney, Bladder, and Testicular Cancer. He is also engaged in researching Robotic Surgery, Evidence-Based Medicine, Surgical Safety, Observational Studies, Clinical Trials, and Systematic Reviews. Breau's work aims to advance the field of urology through innovative surgical techniques and improved patient outcomes, and he is committed to enhancing surgical practices based on empirical evidence and research. He is recognized for his contributions to medical literature and clinical practice in urology, and he actively participates in academic discussions and collaborations within his field.
