Biography

Roger Lee Huang has broad research interests in politics, international relations, and security in East and Southeast Asia. He has previously worked at Lingnan University in Hong Kong, the Democratic Progressive Party in Taiwan, and Academia Sinica in Taiwan. Additionally, he interned at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Yangon, Myanmar. He is the author of "Paradox Myanmar’s Regime Change" and has research interests that include Authoritarian Regimes, Contentious Politics, Political Violence, and the political dynamics of Southeast Asia, particularly in Myanmar and Thailand, as well as Taiwan’s security in the realm of international relations. Currenctly, he teaches courses such as PICT 1011 New Security Challenges and PICT 3013 Strategies in Political Violence.
