Biography

Roger Petersen holds BA, MA, and PhD degrees from the University of Chicago and has been a faculty member at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology since 2001, serving as the Arthur Ruth Sloan Professor of Political Science, Emeritus. He has also taught various classes on topics such as military intervention, civil war, civil-military relations, and the emotions involved in politics, specifically concerning regional conflicts in the Balkans and Middle East.
