Biography

Rohit K Dasgupta is an Associate Professor and the Deputy Head of Research in the Department of Gender Studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has previously served as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow, where he is currently an Honorary Senior Research Fellow. His current research interests involve exploring cultural labour within the Indian handicraft sector and the role of digital culture in social change and activism. He directs the MSc Gender (Sexuality) programme and supervises several PhD students. Dasgupta's work is recognized for receiving multiple research grants, and he engages in active policy-making and advocacy for social justice and equality.
