Biography

Roland J. Ortt is an Associate Professor in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at Delft University of Technology. Before joining the faculty of Technology Policy and Management, he worked as a project manager and R&D manager at KPN, the research and development lab of the Dutch telecommunication company. Roland is also the director of Interfaculty Education and serves as the research dean for the European NiTiM network of researchers focusing on innovation in technology management. He is also an active guest lecturer and contributes to several academic journals as a board member and editor. His work in innovation management emphasizes the importance of understanding both technical and social factors in the commercialization of new technologies.
