Biography

Rolf-Peter Janz is a Professor of Modern German Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities at Freie Universität Berlin. He studied German philology, English studies, philosophy, and general and comparative literary studies at institutions in Kiel, Leeds, and Berlin. Janz completed his doctorate in 1972 and habilitation in 1976. He has held various academic positions, including scientific assistant, assistant professor (1972-1976), and professor since 1979.
