Biography

Romain Corcolle is a Global Network Assistant Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He received his PhD in Physics in 2009 from Paris-Sud University (Paris 11 - Paris Saclay), France. Prior to joining NYU Shanghai, he served as an Associate Professor at Paris-Sud University and was affiliated with the GeePs (Group Electrical Engineering – Paris Saclay) research activities. His research focuses on the study and modeling of electromagnetic materials, primarily ferroelectric and ferromagnetic materials. He aims to develop advanced constitutive laws for these materials and employs both analytical and numerical approaches, with a particular emphasis on developing multi-scale modeling tools.
