Biography

Roman Jurowetzki is an Associate Professor specializing in Innovation Studies and Applied Data Science. He has developed expertise in computational methods, especially Natural Language Processing, beginning from his PhD work completed in 2012. Jurowetzki has co-founded various programs at Aalborg University Business School (AAUBS), including a master's program in Business Data Science aimed at business economics students. His research primarily focuses on technological change in relation to emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Neurotechnology. Since 2021, he has been the Principal Investigator guiding the AI Growth Lab at the Business School, which is part of the national flagship AI initiative supported by the Danish Industrial Foundation. This project aims to facilitate value creation through AI technologies within Danish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Jurowetzki is also a member of the steering committee for CLAAUDIA, a research computing unit at AAU, and he contributes to a project that aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Through his teaching and research, he actively promotes Machine Learning and AI techniques within academic conferences and executive training contexts.
