Biography

Dr. Rommana Mehdi is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Medicine, Queen's University, appointed in April 2025. With international experience, she completed her medical education and residency at Dubai Health, subsequently practicing as an internist at Rashid Hospital in Dubai, U.A.E. After moving to Canada, Dr. Mehdi worked in Addiction Medicine and pursued a Hospital Medicine fellowship at St. Michael’s Hospital, University of Toronto. Her academic interests encompass medical education, clinical research, stroke prevention, rehabilitation, and addiction medicine. Dr. Mehdi currently provides inpatient care in the General Internal Medicine unit at Kingston Health Sciences Centre and is committed to advancing medical knowledge as well as training future healthcare professionals.
