Biography

Ron Berman is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the Wharton School. His research focuses on online marketing and the analytics involved in marketing actions for startup firms. His recent work investigates how advertisers often incorrectly attribute sales to results from online advertising campaigns, leading to suboptimal marketing strategies. Berman also explores the effectiveness of search engine optimization (SEO) practices to improve online search engine results, challenging common perceptions in the field. Berman holds a PhD and MSc in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of California, Berkeley, along with an MBA and MSc in Computer Science from Tel-Aviv University, and a BSc in Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics from Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
