Biography

Ronan Gallagher is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the University of Edinburgh Business School, having joined in 2012 after lecturing at Queen's University Belfast. He teaches postgraduate courses including Financial Markets & Investment, MSc Finance, MSc Finance, Technology & Policy, Equity Valuation, and MSc Accounting Finance. Gallagher has been recognized for his teaching excellence, receiving awards such as the Business School's course award for Inspirational Teaching. His primary research interests include empirical corporate finance, empirical asset pricing, and sports finance. Additionally, he is a CFA charterholder and has experience in corporate finance and taxation. He has also provided consultancy in pension risk analysis to the UK media regulator, Ofcom.
