Biography

Rongkun Zheng obtained his Bachelor of Science in Physics from Shandong University, China, in 1999 and his Ph.D. in Physics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2004. He joined the University of Sydney in late 2004 and is currently a Professor in the School of Physics. His research interests span various areas, including Condensed Matter Physics and Microscopy. Specifically, he focuses on growth-structure-property relationships in functional materials and devices, employing sophisticated microscopy techniques such as atom probe tomography (APT) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). He has published over 300 papers that have garnered around 12,000 citations, reflecting a significant impact in his field. He has received numerous awards, including a prestigious fellowship from the Australian Research Council and has been a regular invitee to national and international conferences.
