Biography

Associate Professor Ronil V. Chandra is an academic NeuroInterventional Radiologist at Monash Health, affiliated with Monash University. He received his Diagnostic Neuroradiology Fellowship from the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia, and then pursued further specialty training in NeuroInterventional Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. As a senior clinician at Monash Health, he led the development of a multidisciplinary Endovascular Clot Retrieval service for ischemic stroke, establishing a designated statewide service in South East Victoria. His leadership roles also include Head of NeuroInterventional Radiology, Head of Stroke Imaging Endovascular Clot Retrieval, and Head of Neurovascular Imaging research at Monash Health. He has a keen interest in innovative research methodologies that leverage advancements in digital technology to enhance clinical practice and improve community health outcomes. Professor Chandra has received grant funding from the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia to improve patient outcomes related to brain aneurysms and has authored around 100 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals. He collaborates with interdisciplinary teams from 13 countries and plays active roles in various academic service organizations.
