Dr. Roozbeh Razavi Far

Biography

Roozbeh Razavi-Far is an Associate Professor at the University of New Brunswick, with a research focus on machine learning, big data analytics, computational intelligence, and cybersecurity. He has made significant contributions to various fields, particularly in non-stationary environments and federated transfer learning. Razavi-Far has authored and co-authored over 150 papers in scholarly journals and international conferences. His research has gained recognition, as Stanford University listed him among the top percent of cited researchers in 2022. He has received several prestigious awards and grants including NSERC Discovery Grant, NSERC Early Career Research, and others. Razavi-Far has served as an Associate Editor for various journals, including Neurocomputing and IEEE Transactions on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems. In addition, he is a Senior Member of IEEE and has held leadership roles, such as Guest Editor and Chapter Chair for IEEE Computational Intelligence. His work has significantly influenced cybersecurity and cyber-physical systems, especially related to IoT devices. He has also directed the Learning System Cybernetics Group at the University of Windsor from 2016 to 2022 and has mentored PhD and MASc students who have received various scholarships, including NSERC Alexander G. Bell Canada Graduate Scholarships.
