Biography

Rory Madden is an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at University College London. He took a position as a permanent lecturer at UCL in 2008 after completing his D.Phil. in Philosophy at the University of Oxford in 2007. Prior to that, he earned a Bachelor of Philosophy in 2002 and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics & Philosophy in 2000, also from the University of Oxford. Currently, he serves as the Departmental Graduate Tutor and has recently become the Executive Director of the Aristotelian Society, reflecting his commitment to academic leadership and the promotion of philosophy as a discipline. His research interests encompass a range of philosophical topics, particularly in quality education and the broader impacts of philosophical inquiry in society.
