Dr. Rosalind Dixon

Biography

Rosalind Dixon is a Professor of Law at the University of New South Wales, specializing in comparative constitutional law and constitutional design. She holds a BA/LLB from the University of New South Wales and an LLM and SJD from Harvard Law School. Dixon has published extensively in leading journals across Canada, the UK, and Australia and has co-edited multiple significant volumes in comparative constitutional law. Her research interests include constitutional democracy, socio-economic rights, and gender within constitutional law. Professor Dixon is involved with several key initiatives, including being a co-director of the UNSW New Economic Equality Initiative and serves as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law and the Australian Academy of Social Sciences. Moreover, she has held positions as an assistant professor and visiting professor at prestigious law schools such as the University of Chicago and Harvard Law School. Her current work focuses on constitutional design practices that respond to democratic backsliding and initiatives aimed at economic equality and inclusion.
