Biography

Rosana Garciandia is a Senior Lecturer in Public International Law at the Dickson Poon School of Law, King's College London. She serves as Co-Director of the Centre for International Governance and Dispute Resolution (CIGAD) and has an extensive background working on issues relating to human rights, including torture, racial discrimination, and modern slavery. Her research focuses on international law's responses to human rights abuses, potential collective trends in international dispute resolution, and intersectionality in international human rights law. Rosana's academic contributions include peer-reviewed articles in various journals and edited volumes, such as the International Human Rights Law Review and the Leiden Journal of International Law. In addition to her teaching and research responsibilities, she works as a Research Leader on human labour rights at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law. Rosana also has experience with international organizations, having worked with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights. She earned her PhD in Law from the University of Navarra and has held previous academic positions in her native Spain where she lectured on Public International Law and EU Law.
