Dr. Rosana Gonzalez Colaso

Biography

Rosana Gonzalez-Colaso is an Assistant Professor in the Physician Associate Program at the Yale School of Medicine, where she also serves as Faculty Director of Research Education and has a pivotal role in various committees aimed at enhancing diversity and equity within healthcare. With a background in health services research, she focuses on developing culturally sensitive instruments to assess healthcare discrimination, particularly for individuals who are limited in their English proficiency. As Director of the Spanish-Language Research Core, she is deeply committed to addressing health disparities affecting Hispanic and Latino populations. Rosana's academic journey includes a PharmD from the University of Buenos Aires and a Master of Public Health from Yale University. She is actively involved in numerous committees, including the Yale School of Medicine's Inclusive Language Committee and the PA Program Admissions Committee, demonstrating her dedication to improving medical education and promoting inclusive practices in healthcare. She has received several awards for her contributions to medical education and healthcare quality initiatives, reflecting her commitment to excellence and advocacy in the field of public health and internal medicine.
