Biography

Rosario DeLeon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology and a courtesy Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Dell Medical School. DeLeon is a licensed psychologist specializing in neuropsychology with extensive experience in conducting neuropsychological evaluations for children with neurocognitive disorders from toddlerhood to late adolescence. She completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Houston and underwent a clinical psychology internship at the Children’s Assessment Center in Houston. Additionally, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, within the Department of Pediatrics, Center for Clinical Neurosciences. At the Children’s Blood Cancer Center of Dell Children’s Medical Center, the Texas Child Study Center, and the Dell Children’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, DeLeon has had a unique opportunity to perform bilingual neuropsychological evaluations in both Spanish and English. Since joining the Texas Child Study Center in 2010, she has also maintained a private practice in Houston.
