Professor Rose Martini received her B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy from McGill University, her M.Sc. in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario, and her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from McGill University. Her research focuses on enabling occupational performance for children with neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD). This includes the adaptation and development of evaluation measures and the study of the effectiveness of the Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP) approach for skill acquisition, retention, and transfer. Recent research aims to understand everyday occupations of families. Professor Martini is a founding member of the International Cognitive Approaches Network (ICAN) and serves as the interim co-editor-in-chief of the Canadian Journal of Occupational Therapy. She is currently accepting new students for thesis supervision.
