Roseanna Graham, James Winston Benfield Professor at Columbia University's College of Dental Medicine, holds a DDS and a PhD. She graduated from the College of Dental Medicine and completed a general practice residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Graham also earned her MA and PhD degrees from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Education, Teachers College in the Department of Mathematics, Science, and Technology. As the director of the Division of Operative Dentistry and chair of the Section of Cariology and Restorative Sciences, she plays a pivotal role in dental education. Graham is the co-director of the unique DDS/MA in Science of Dental Education dual-degree program which has seen graduates progress to post-doctoral faculty positions nationwide. An active member of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), she has served as a mentor in the Academic Careers Fellowship program and was the past chair of the Section for Educational Research and Development Curriculum. Graham has been recognized with several grants, including the ADEA Gies Research Grant and the Columbia University President’s Diversity Research Grant. She was also named an Alpha Omega Foundation/Leonard Abrams Scholar at the ADEA Leadership Institute and was a Columbia University Provost Leadership Fellow from 2017-2019. Her research interests focus on evaluation and assessment methods in dental education.
