Biography

Ross Paterson is a Principal Clinical Research Fellow at the UCL Institute of Neurology and a practicing clinical neurologist. He holds an honorary consultant neurologist position at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, and leads a specialist cognitive disorders clinic at Darent Valley Hospital in Kent. His research group focuses on measuring the production and clearance of proteins in the brain and cerebrospinal fluid, with the aim of understanding disease mechanisms in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, and identifying biomarkers for disease progression.
