Biography

Dr. Ross Walker is the Head of the Department of Surgery at Queen's University and holds the Britton Smith Chair in Surgery. Appointed in September 2020, he also serves as the Associate Dean for Postgraduate Medical Education. Dr. Walker earned his medical degree from Western University before completing his residency in General Surgery at Queen's University. Following his residency, he became a clinical fellow in Surgical Oncology at Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, New York. His clinical interests encompass Endocrine surgery, head and neck surgery (excluding oral-pharyngeal procedures), and breast surgery. Besides his clinical work, Dr. Walker is particularly focused on research in postgraduate medical education, looking to enhance the training and learning experiences of surgical residents.
