Biography

Rossella Suma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Warwick and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her research interests include high dynamic range imaging, image processing, cognitive psychology, and virtual reality. She completed her PhD in Engineering in July 2020 at the University of Warwick, focusing on the application of high dynamic range imaging techniques for face matching tasks. Before her PhD, she graduated from the Polytechnic University of Turin in 2013 with a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, where her dissertation was on the behavior of autonomous agents in game environments. From 2014 to 2016, she worked as a business intelligence application consultant and was a Marie Curie Fellow involved with Initial Training Networks for Digital Cultural Heritage, developing frameworks for the cost-effective preservation and documentation of cultural heritage. Since March 2020, she has been a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Computer Science, where she organizes modules including Advanced Computer Architectures and Software Reliability Testing.
