Roupmatee (Roop) joined the Faculty in 2013 after graduating with NMC Registration as a Mental Health Nurse from King’s College London. With her qualifications, Roupmatee works at South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM) as a primary nurse on an acute ward. She also joined the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) as a Community Psychiatric Nurse, qualifying as an Independent Practitioner Nurse Prescriber at King’s College London. Roupmatee holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), and is currently completing her Master’s in Clinical Education (MACE). She teaches both pre-registration and post-qualification nursing students across various modules in the faculty, and leads the optional modules Pharmacology 1 & 2 in Mental Health Nursing. Her clinical link area is in partnership with the South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM), where she teaches and supports pre-registration nursing students to enhance their learning experiences. Her research interests include the integration of Mental & Physical Health, development of simulation innovations, and optimizing student learning.
