Professor Dr. Roxana Daneshjou

Biography

Roxana Daneshjou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Data Science and the Department of Dermatology at Stanford University. She earned her MD and PhD in Genetics from Stanford, following her undergraduate studies in Bioengineering at Rice University. She completed her dermatology residency and a postdoctoral fellowship in Biomedical Data Science at Stanford, under the guidance of prominent faculty such as Dr. Russ Altman and Dr. James Zou. Dr. Daneshjou currently directs the Stanford Skin Innovation Interventional Research Group and serves as the assistant director of the Center of Excellence for Precision Health & Pharmacogenomics. She is involved in several academic initiatives, including the Translational AI Dermatology group and the Human-centered Artificial Intelligence centers. Her professional affiliations include editing for the Journal of Investigative Dermatology and serving on various advisory committees. Dr. Daneshjou's research and clinical focus revolves around the integration of AI technologies in dermatology, emphasizing precision health and pharmacogenomics.
