Biography

I am a member of the Order of Psychoeducators of Quebec and have gained experience as a psychoeducator with adults facing mental health issues, particularly psychotic disorders. I have also served as a trainer in suicide prevention and contributed to the development of training in this area. My research focuses on understanding and preventing suicidal behaviors among young people with mental health issues, especially those who have experienced an initial episode of psychosis. Specifically, I am interested in the trajectories of suicidal risk and the identification of risk and protective factors to improve prevention and intervention practices. I aim to foster dialogue between young people, clinicians, researchers, and decision-makers to co-create projects grounded in real-world needs.
