Roxana Carare qualified in Medicine from Bucharest in 1994. After completing basic clinical training, she became fascinated by anatomy and completed her PhD in neuropathology in 2006 at the University of Southampton, UK. Furthermore, she co-leads the Scientific Committee for Vas-Cog and serves as Secretary for the British Neuropathological Society, along with participating in various international research funding boards. Roxana is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology in Targu Mures, Romania, where she co-founded the British-Romanian Academic Institute of Neuroscience.
