Biography

Dr. Roy Mattathu John is a fellowship-trained cardiologist with over 25 years of clinical experience, serving as a Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. He is board certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular disease, bringing expertise in diagnosing and managing cardiac arrhythmias, particularly atrial fibrillation and ventricular arrhythmias. His special interests encompass catheter ablation for supraventricular tachycardia and other arrhythmias, as well as pacemaker and defibrillator implants. Dr. John has actively contributed to extensive research and has participated as a primary investigator in over 30 multi-center clinical trials focusing on innovative drugs and devices. He has authored approximately 200 publications, including original research papers in prestigious journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine and Circulation. His contributions to the field extend to editing for major journals and authoring chapters in prominent medical textbooks.
