Biography

Ruben Dahan is a PhD student in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge. He began his doctoral studies in 2024 after completing a Master of Advanced Study in Mathematics (MASt) at Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge in 2024. Prior to this, he attended École Polytechnique in Palaiseau, France, where he pursued a 'Cycle ingénieur' from 2020 to 2024. Ruben has a background in the rigorous preparatory classes (CPGE) in Mathematics and Physics at Lycée Louis-le-Grand in Paris, which he completed from 2018 to 2020. His research focuses on hydrodynamic stability, transition turbulence, and oscillating flows under the guidance of Professor Rich Kerswell. In addition to his research, he has teaching responsibilities, including supervising undergraduate mathematics courses at Trinity College and Fitzwilliam College in the upcoming academic terms. Ruben is part of a research group specializing in high-Reynolds-number fluid flow.
