Biography

Ruben Rathnasingham has over 15 years of experience in biomedical leadership across various companies, where he has founded technologies and developed innovations in collaboration with academic institutions. In his current role as Assistant Dean of Health Product Innovation at the Dell Medical School, he is responsible for creating and growing initiatives that support health-related translational research at the University of Texas at Austin. He previously served as the Associate Director of Early Translational Research at the University of California, San Francisco, where he helped develop and lead the UCSF Catalyst Program, which successfully leveraged industry partnerships to identify, support, and translate technologies from the university. Before his academic tenure, Rothnasingham co-founded and grew several healthcare companies, including StrataGent Life Sciences, where he contributed to the development of a needle-free, wearable infusion pump that was honored with the 2010 Edison Award for New Products.
