Dr. Rucsandra Moldovan

Biography

Rucsandra Moldovan is an Associate Professor at Concordia University, specializing in Accountancy. Her research focuses on how corporations communicate information to intermediaries, investors, and participants in capital markets. She is primarily interested in conducting research that provides evidence for accounting standard setting and financial regulations. In her line of research, Dr. Moldovan teaches financial reporting and corporate disclosure topics at both undergraduate and PhD levels. Her areas of expertise include Corporate Disclosure, Investor Relations, Information Intermediaries, specific accounting standards such as segment reporting, intangibles, leases, and revenue recognition, as well as labor market accounting. She actively supervises PhD students on topics related to financial and non-financial reporting disclosures for public and private firms. Moldovan has published numerous research papers in top-tier journals and has received recognition for her work, including paper awards and media coverage in prominent publications such as Institutional Investor and Euromoney.
