Ruddy Faure is an Assistant Professor at the Behavioural Science Institute at Radboud University. His research focuses on examining automatic processes that determine how people think, feel, and behave in ways that promote or hinder the maintenance of social relationships. Specifically, he studies these issues in the context of close relationships, investigating how people's automatic partner attitudes differ from controlled relationship judgments. Faure employs various methodologies including performance-based tasks, longitudinal diary studies, and experimental designs to explore relationships over time and the factors that affect them. Currently, he is working on a three-year project in collaboration with Florida State University, which aims to understand the role of automatic partner attitudes in close relationships, supported by a Marie Curie grant funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 program. He has received several awards for his research including the VU Amsterdam FGB Junior Career Award in 2022 and the Marie Curie grant in 2021.
