Biography

Rudy Wijnands is a Professor at the Anton Pannekoek Institute for Astronomy at the University of Amsterdam. As a teacher, he conducts courses in the BSc and MSc Physics & Astronomy programs, with a focus on observational techniques utilizing telescopes at the Anton Pannekoek Observatory. His research interests include neutron stars, dense matter, accretion processes, and the study of gravitational waves.
