Biography

Rui Shi is currently heading the Section Optical Spectroscopy in the iAM lab at Aarhus University, Denmark, overseeing a wide array of advanced optical spectrometers and supervising electron microscopy characterizations. His current research interests are associated with the study of photonic dynamics and advanced synthesis of nanocrystals. Rui received his Ph.D. from the School of Chemistry at Sun Yat-sen University, China, in 2018, where he worked on Vacuum Ultraviolet (VUV) and UV spectroscopic studies of lanthanide-doped materials. Following his graduation, he continued his career as a researcher at Sun Yat-sen University and also worked in Aveiro and Stockholm University, Sweden. Rui's areas of expertise include Nanophotonics, Spectroscopy, and Crystallography. His active research topics contribute to the unique research fingerprint derived from his various works, underlining his significant contributions to the field.
